Atari Jaguar
In the mid-1990 Atari tried it one more time. At the home
console marketed they launched their 64-bit Jaguar. For
that system almost no games were developed. Atari went
bankrupt in 1996. The name has been bought by the software
company Infogrames, now called Atari.
The Jaguar had only one true classic: Tempest 2000
(pictured), made by Jeff Minter.
Gary Liddon of
Zzap'64 fame, converted Dio's Jag emulator to the Mac.
